12th November 2007 important works are being carried out on the A61 motorway between Castelnaudary and Lezignan in the Aude department of the Languedoc-Roussillon. The works will occur between Monday and Fridays, in 4 km sections and will go on until March 2008. The motorway will be reduced to a single lane in these sections and a speed restriction of 90 km/ hour will be enforced. Drivers should note that the ASF (Autoroutes du Sud de la France) has also now launched its winter safety plan which can be mobilised at a moment’s notice to assure that all main highways are accessible during winter weather.
